The John Hay Center and the Washington County Historical Society would like to wish you & yours a very Happy Indiana Bicentennial & New Year!  The Stevens Museum has reopened from our holiday break and we need to apologize to any patrons visiting our facility through the winter months, for any inconveniences caused by current display renovations.  We hope to have these display changes completed by Spring and will announce some exciting new additions to our collection in the coming months.  So stay tuned and we hope you will come in to see the new modifications in 2016!

We currently have a temporary exhibit on the 1816 Constitutional Convention @ Corydon for this year’s bicentennial anniversary and have many more intriguing displays planned throughout the year, including a traveling display from the Indiana Historical Society coming in the fall, so please consider the John Hay Center this year when making your bicentennial plans!
